Hartwick is among the North East’s elite liberal art colleges both academically and athletically. Hartwick has a reputation of academic excellence and offers a most diverse selection of degree programs, with a strong emphasis on a liberal arts education. Our campus is truly beautiful. We are located on a scenic 425-acre site on the northern slopes of New York’s Catskill Mountains, in Oneonta, a town considered by some experts to be among the top ten best college towns in America. Hartwick offers a small college atmosphere; as the student/faculty ratio is 11 to 1, and the average classroom size is 15. Yet we are only 70 minutes from the state capital, Albany, and two and a half hours from New York City. This setting provides an ideal atmosphere academically, athletically, and socially for the aspiring student-athlete. Hartwick is 4-0

On Tuesday Hartwick traveled to Schenectady, New York to take on Union College. Hartwick won a close game 62-61. Although down at the half, Hartwick came back to win the game. Great play by Anthony Keane who had 15 points helped secure the win. Keane in the 2nd half made a half court shot with the shot clock running out. Blazek who had 17 points, Ryder who had 9 points, and Suderley with 15 points also had great games. Christian Laputka came off the bench and had 4 assists to go along with his 4 points. Great play also came from Andres Carpio, Travis Godley, Aaron Laing, Jon Zehe, and Mike Geisser.

The team will play again Saturday when the travel to Mark Blazek and Jon Zehe hometown in Erie, Pennsylvania when they play Penn State Behrend at 2 p.m.
